Tubing and sledding

The town of Breckenridge features a walk-up sledding hill at Carter Park.  Take your sled, your mittens and friends and walk on up the former ski slope for some good old fashioned sledding fun.  The park is located at the south end of High Street and adjacent to Breckenridge Elementary School.  Click here for a map of Carter Park.  Please note that no sled rentals are available – snow tubes and sleds are available for purchase at the City Market.  There are usually a few to be found outside our cabin too!

The Breckenridge Ski Resort does not offer snow tubing on its slopes, but the nearby resort of Keystone does.  The Keystone sledding park features tubing lanes with various degrees of difficulty, chutes, banked turns, rolls and bumps.  Tubing reservations are highly recommended.

The Frisco Adventure Park is another nearby attraction, with a tubing hill that features lengthy 1200-foot tubing lanes with lift service up the hill, for tubing day or night under the lights.  Reservations are highly recommended.  Much more information can be found at the Town of Frisco Adventure Park visitors’ guide.
